Roger W. Lee, 66, Valley City, ND, passed away March 20, 2026, at Heather House Hospice in Fargo, ND.  A memorial service for him will be held Sunday, March 22, at 3:00 PM in the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home Chapel in Valley City.

Roger William Lee was born March 19, 1960, in Valley City, ND to, Roger and Dorothy (Berndtson) Lee.  He graduated from Valley City High School with the class of 1978 and then began his farming career.

He farmed until 1983 and then began hauling cattle.  Roger worked for Eunice Iwen for a number of years in Arthur, ND.  He worked for a crop duster, spent some time in California, and returned to ND to work for the Bruns Brothers.  Presently he was working for Albert and Kurt Wittenberg.

Farming and mechanic work took up most of his time, but he did acquire a large collection of 1/18 scale model toys.

Roger is survived by his son, Heath James, of Grand Forks, ND; siblings, JoAnn Spickler, of Glenfield, ND, Richard (Terry) Lee, of Valley City, Marcy (David) Karr, of Deerwood, MN, Sandy Pack, of Patterson, CA, Sherri (Bob) McQuaid, of Santa Cruz, CA, and Laurie (Brian) Bell, of Orcas Island, WA; and 17 nieces and nephews along with their families.  He also leaves behind his special friend, Robin Kinney, of Valley City.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and a sister, Nancy.
