JAMESTOWN – Minnesota State rallied from dropping the first two singles flights to take the last four Saturday and defeat Jamestown Jimmie Women’s Tennis 5-2 at Two Rivers Activity Center.

Minnesota State (6-2, 5-0 NSIC) won the second and third doubles flights to secure the doubles point, but Jamestown (3-4, 3-3) had singles wins in the top two flights from Julie van Zeijl and Bodil van Zeijl.

The Mavericks then won the rest in singles with victories by Lucie Silskova, Alma Vazquez, Amanda Blanco-Epple in a three-set win over Laia Vallespi and Taina Cordeiro.

Jamestown will play Minnesota Crookston on Friday at Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks.
