Chad William Melville, 65, Oriska, North Dakota died peacefully at his home on March 19, 2026. A graveside service will be held later in the spring in Memory Gardens, Valley City, ND.

Chad William Melville was born on October 15, 1960, in Valley City, the son of Gerald and Vivian (Lynch) Melville. He attended and graduated from Oriska High School in 1978. He went on to obtain his agri-business degree from North Dakota State School of Science, Wahpeton, ND. After school he worked for several farmers in the Oriska area.

He later worked for Valley Flooring and McGough’s Flooring. He began working on his own doing carpentry and flooring until the time of his death.

Chad is survived by his mother, Vivian, Valley City; sister Rhonda (Rob) Marshall, Oriska; two brothers, Barry Melville, Casselton, ND and Damon (Cari) Melville, Missouri; and six nephews and one niece.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald.
