VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSU) – The destination this Saturday for the Valley City State Track and Field teams will be Collegeville, Minnesota for the St. John’s Optimistic Invitational at St. John’s University. The meet begins at 11:00 am at Clemens Stadium.

Valley City State is coming off a very good Marauder Outdoor Open at the University of Mary in Bismarck last Saturday to kick off the outdoor season.

The Vikings had five first place finishes. Frida Barrera in the 800 and 1500 Meters, Grace Backstrom and Zeke Barnick in the High Jump, and Jordan Mount in the Long Jump.

VCSU also had eleven top three finishes and 47 personal bests.
