ST. LOUIS, MO – Though Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Volleyball improved their play as the match continued Saturday, the top team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference was again too much.

Jamestown was down 15-7 and 18-13 in the third set, then had their best run of the match, scoring seven straight points with the help of a Carroll kill and two aces by Williams.  Brady Leppien-Christensen and Soelder had kills and Jamestown was up 23-21.  Maryville scored two straight before a service error gave UJ a set point.  The Saints’ Scott saved it with a kill.  Williams killed for another set point for the Jimmies, but Luke Martinez had a kill for Maryville to bring a 25-25 tie.  A Jimmie attack error gave Maryville match point, then Scott had a kill to end the match.
