Virginia “Ginny” Vincent was born on February 22, 1954, in Moorhead, MN to Felix and Edna Mae (Johnson) Rode.  After losing her mother in infancy, Ginny was raised by her aunt and uncle, Luvern and Genevieve Tamerius on a farm outside of Lynchberg, ND.  She attended school and graduated as valedictorian of Chafee High School before attending NDSU.

Ginny married Paul Romans on April 12, 1980. They had three children, Michael, Melissa, and Matthew and made their home in Valley City, ND after spending a couple of years in Williston.  Ginny and Paul later divorced but Ginny remained in her home in Valley City until her passing.  Ginny met James (Jim) Vincent while receiving a free siding estimate she signed up for at the Winter Show.  After many coffee dates at the Hilltop, the couple married on July 18, 1998.

Ginny was a devoted and compassionate nurse.  She worked at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City from 1984 to 2015, and again from 2021 until her recent retirement in September 2025.  When not working, she loved various seasonal crafts, thrifting with her sisters, and spending time with her family and friends, but was most known for the smorgasbord of Christmas goodies that she made every year and gifted to as many people as she could.

Ginny passed away on March 27, 2026, in her home of over 35 years.  She is survived by her children, Michael Romans of Jamestown, ND, Melissa (Shawn) Nash of West Fargo, ND and Matthew Romans of Williston, ND, her sisters Cathy Rode, Fran Jones, Marge Rode, and Rosie Colville, half-sister Sheila Burman, her grandchildren Gabriella (Lily), Jeremiah, Nathan, Anna, Woody, Aiden, Logan, Connor, Eloise and Adelaide, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
