WHEATLAND, N.D. – On Tuesday, April 7, Senator John Hoeven will host Dr. Scott Hutchins, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Under Secretary for Research, Education and Economics (REE), in North Dakota to announce a new agricultural technology initiative at Grand Farm. As chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, Hoeven secured $2 million to create an Agricultural Research Service (ARS) work site at Grand Farm, which builds upon the Cooperative Agreement he worked to establish and fund between Grand Farm, North Dakota State University (NDSU) and ARS. Prior to the announcement, Hoeven and Hutchins will participate in technology demonstrations at Grand Farm’s Innovation Campus.
