MANTADOR, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Republican Terry Goerger announced his candidacy for the North Dakota House of Representatives in District 25, entering the race with decades of agricultural leadership, business experience, and a deep commitment to his community.
A lifelong resident of Richland County, Goerger operated Goerger Seed Farm and Goerger Seed Company before retiring from production agriculture in 2024. His career has been rooted in strengthening North Dakota’s agricultural economy.
“Agriculture and energy are the backbone of North Dakota’s economy. We need leaders who understand these vital industries and will fight to keep them strong for the next generation,” said Goerger. “Our way of life depends on strong communities: our farms, small businesses, schools, and churches. I will work to support the people who make this district such a great place to live and raise a family.”
Goerger currently serves on the Richland County Commission and has held leadership roles on numerous state and local boards, including the ND Renewable Energy Council, National Biodiesel Board, ND Soybean Council, Richland County Farm Bureau and the ND Empower Commission. These experiences have given him a firsthand  nderstanding of the challenges facing agriculture, energy and rural communities and the importance of pro-growth and pro-business policies.
As a candidate for the State House in District 25, Goerger is focused on advancing commonsense conservative priorities, including supporting high-quality education, and ensuring government operates efficiently and responsibly for the needs of the citizens of North Dakota.
“I’m running to continue to make sure government is working for the people—not against them,” Goerger said. “We must protect taxpayer dollars, train our workforce and invest in the future of our communities.
“Goerger is proud to call Mantador home, where he has lived his life and remains deeply committed to the community he serves.
