VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There’s been a lot of social media chatter about a Data Center being proposed in Barnes County.
The city of Valley City said on Saturday, May 16th that no company has approached the city yet.
Valley City Barnes County Development Corporation Director of Economic Development Jennifer Feist said on Sunday, May 17th that the Development Corporation is unaware of any Data Center being located somewhere south of Valley City, except for the one in Ellendale, ND.
However, on the Barnes County Commission’s agenda for Tuesday, May 19th at 8:15am, a Data Center Moratorium is on the agenda for discussion. If the public is interested in learning more about the Data Center Moratorium attend the Barnes County Commission meeting on Tuesday, May 19th starting at 8am in the Barnes County Courthouse commission chambers on the second floor of the courthouse in Valley City.
