(JAYBAL) – A sure sign of summer is returning to Jamestown as the Jamestown Area Youth Baseball (JAYBAL) league prepares to host its fourth annual Opening Day celebration on Wednesday, June 3, at Jack Brown Stadium. Cheer on your hometown Legion Eagles as they take on Valley City. Community members of all ages are invited to attend this seasonal tradition, which marks the official start of youth baseball across the area. The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the first pitch at 7:00 p.m., setting the stage for a night centered on youth athletics, family fun, and community connection.
Serving players from t-ball through Legion, JAYBAL continues to play a vital role in developing young athletes while fostering a love for the game. Opening Day brings together players, families, and fans from across the region for a shared celebration of teamwork, sportsmanship, and local pride.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities and attractions, including: Interactive games and prize opportunities for families, A newly added slushy machine at the concession stand, FREE admission for all guests, and a league-wide group photo showcasing every JAYBAL athlete.
“Opening Day is one of the highlights of our year,” said Matt Perkins, JAYBAL President. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate our players and recognize the families, volunteers, and supporters who make this program possible. More importantly, it’s a chance for the entire community to come together and enjoy a great night at the ballpark.”
