N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A county-wide test of the Code RED mass notification system was completed Friday, February 19th by Stutsman County Communications.

Two separate tests were conducted, with the first test beginning at 11:24 AM. The first test initiated land-line and cell phones with a call in addition to text messaging and e-mail notifications. The second was conducted at 2:26 Pm to attempt missed calls from earlier.

Results showed that 100% of the texts and messages were delivered. Phone testing indicated only 63% of the phone numbers registered in the system received the first test CodeRED message. Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist stated that more would be notified if they registered with the free service.
