CITY,ND (NewsDakota.Com)-Nate Stewart has been named Valley City State University’s next athletic director, President Tisa Mason announced Wednesday. Currently he is the director of athletics and athletic development at Eastern University, an NCAA Division III school in St. Davids, Pennsylvania. Stewart, who’s a Virginia native, began coaching after wrapping up his 4 year basketball career at Roanoke University.

 

Stewart says the success of The Valley City State Athletic Program over last the few years was one of the factors that attracted him to the opening

The reins will officially be handed over to Stewart on July 29th. He says getting to know members of The VCSU Community will be a point of focus right from the beginning

 Stewart replaces Jack Denholm, who resigned after six years to take the athletic director position at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa
