N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their latest run report for the days between April 26th and May 3rd.
The weekly report is compiled by Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther and includes descriptions of each call his department has responded to in the specified time. Some calls for service include one to Fairfield Inn for Muriatic Acid in the pool, a grass fire in the park and vehicle fire.

Call No. 89 April 28th, 6:31PM, ready squad responded to 1104 25th St SW, Edgewood Senior Living, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
Call No. 90 April 29th, 3:42PM, fire department responded to 420 3rd Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire in the kitchen. Firefighters extinguished a small fire and investigated. Cause-accidentally turned on the stove. No injuries reported. Time out 40 minutes.
Call No. 91 April 29th, 11:00PM, ready squad responded to 930 25th St SW, Fairfield Inn, to a report of possible chlorine problem with the pool. Firefighters checked the pool area for reading of chlorine; none was detected at the time. Cause-muriatic acid was introduced; which gave off a strong odor. 6 individuals were drove to JRMC to be checked for breathing problems. Time out-1 hour 15 minutes.
Call No. 92 April 29th, 11:02PM, fire department responded to 521 13th St SE, to a report of a vehicle fire. Firefighters extinguished a small fire under the hood and investigated. Cause-unknown. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.
Call No. 93 April 30th, 1:07PM, fire department responded to the behind 412 4th Ave SW, to a report of a grass fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-undetermined. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.
Call No. 94 May 1st, 9:05AM, ready squad responded to 800 12th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.
Call No. 95 May 1st, 11:58AM, ready squad responded to 1805 3rd Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate strange odor. Firefighters checked smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 10 minutes.
Call No. 96 May 2nd, 10:28AM, ready squad responded 715 3rd Ave SE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-possible power loss. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.
Call No. 97 May 2nd, 9:52PM, ready squad responded to 1215 8th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a smoke alarm activating. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-low battery. Advised occupant to replace the battery as soon as possible. Time out 30 minutes.
