N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire Wednesday afternoon.

Lt. Sheldon Mohr reports that no one was injured after the department was called to the 200 block of 4th Street Northeast at around 3:10 PM. According to Lt. Mohr, the fire started in the passenger compartment. A minor explosion during the blaze was likely a gas cylinder for the hatchback system or a shock absorber.

22 firefighters and three trucks were on scene for around 25 minutes. The cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
