discovering that the school was in dire need of repairs
, the New Rockford-Shyenne School District put planned renovations to a community vote, which passed with a 66% majority voting yes. Superintendent Jill Louters says they’re excited to begin work on the school.

Louters says with their advancements in learning, they wanted a space to match those improvements in the classroom.

Louters says the maximum levy of $3.2 million dollars is expected with a 2018 summer completion date. Louters says another project that they’ve been involved in is their original playground being replaced.

Louters says they’ve also received grants to start the project, which includes a concrete basketball court and playground structure.

Jill Louters was on KDAK AM1600 with Greg Grenz.
