N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Edgeley Public Schools are informing concerned parents that the presence of law enforcement at the school was just protocol.
In a release from the school, they state that the schools had teamed up with the North Dakota State Highway Patrol K-9 unit for a sweep of the high school. North Dakota Century Code 15.1-06.12 says each public and nonpublic school district superintendent “shall implement and conduct fire, tornado, and other emergency or disaster drills, including lock down drills.”
The school says they would like parents to explain the importance of conducting the drill as part of school safety practice. They also thanked the North Dakota Highway Patrol for their assistance and ensured the public that all was fine.
