VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Barnes County Public Library made several improvements to the classic Carnegie structure.

One of those projects was refinishing the front door back to its original look.
Library director Steve Hammel thanked local carpenter Dean Pedersen for doing that job during a chamber event last week.

Dean Pedersen told the audience he hopes his work will last for the next 100 years.
