VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A contractor is removing the elevators on the Old Mill Dam site in Valley City.

Valley City Administrator David Schelkoph said Swanberg Construction is currently knocking down the structures for a total cost of $164,500.

The State Water Commission is paying for 75 percent of the demolition with the city picking up 25 percent of the cost share for the city’s Phase IV Buyout process.
