FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Shanley limited Valley City to just 3 hits and 4 base runners in a 6-0 win Saturday. The Hi-Liners are now 0-2 in The EDC and 0-5 on the year, they travel to Grand Forks Tuesday.

Valley City had hits from Avery Bennefeld, Devin Anderson and Riley Gerhardt while Reese Huschka drew a walk. The Deacons scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning and 3 runs in the 6th. Shanley’s Drew Sandy was 2 for 3 with 2RBI. Sandy also pitched all 7 innings striking out 4.

Mitchel Taylor tossed a complete game for Valley City, he allowed 6 hits with 4 punch outs and 2 walks. The Hi-Liners committed 6 errors.
