(NewsDakota.com)- The Blue Jay baseball team improved to 4-0 with a pair of wins over Valley City yesterday. Jamestown did not allow a Hi-Liner hit in the double-header and swept with wins of 11-1 and 11-0.
Jake Stillwell started for the Jays in Game 1 going 5 innings and not allowing a hit. He was relieved by Joey Gebhardt, who came in and retired the Hi-Liners in order.
In the second game, Riley Schafer picked up right where his teammates left off in the first game. Schafer held Valley City in check for five innings as the Blue Jays tagged on 11 more runs.
Jamestown improves to 4-0 on the season, all four wins have been against the Hi-Liners. In those games, the Jays have outscored Valley City 58-3.
The Blue Jays will play Bismarck St. Mary’s on Friday afternoon at Jack Brown Stadium.
