JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High basketball teams welcomed the Legacy Sabers to Jerry Meyer Arena last night and the games were split with each school winning once. All four teams that took the floor were unbeaten heading into last night, but only the Jamestown boys and the Legacy girls left that same way.

GBB: Legacy 77, Jamestown 50.

Legacy pressured the ball and forced 24 Jamestown turnovers with their full court trapping defense and then on offense they knocked down 12 of 22 triples.

The Jays had four players in double-figures lead by Grace Hegerle’s 13. Kameron Selvig (12), Ella Falk (11) and Courtney Peterson (11) also finished in double-figures. Falk, also had a double-double with 16 rebounds.

BBB: #2 Jamestown 83, Legacy 51.

It may have been a dominate win on paper, but head coach Jacoby Lloyd was not happy with the way his team “performed” and “carried themselves on the floor” in a 32-point rout of Legacy.

Boden Skunberg and Mason Walters missed a combined three shots in the victory. Skunberg finished 10/11 for 23 points and Walters with 18 on 8/10 shooting.

The Jays travel to Belcourt to battle Turtle Mountain on Saturday.
