(NewsDakota.com) – As the new Coborn’s grocery store in Jamestown prepares for its grand opening celebration on Wednesday, the company released more details on Friday about what customers can expect to find in the remodeled store at Park Plaza Mall.

A four-month remodeling effort transformed the old County Market space at Park Plaza Mall into the new 43,000 square foot Coborn’s store. Outside, the store features a re-finished parking lot and an entrance directly from the parking lot to the store.

Inside, Coborn’s says customers can find four attended checkout stations and also four self-checkout stations.

The store also includes a Coborn’s Liquors, a self-service floral, a full service meet and seafood case, a full service deli, a bakery, fresh fruits and vegetables, photo kiosks and a Redbox movie kiosk.

“Having owned and operated Cash Wise Foods stores in Fargo/Moorhead and Bismarck for the last 24 years, we are thrilled to join the Jamestown community with our first Coborn’s store in North Dakota,” Coborn’s President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Coborn said in a news release. “We look forward to providing Coborn’s customers with high quality products, superior customer service and a value-focused shopping experience. As an employee-owned company, we will work hard every day to earn our customers business and support the community.”

The company says the store will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to midnight. Local store manager is Josh Vraa and assistant store manager is Jeff Pratt. The company is still hiring to fill some open part-time positions.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Since County Market closed last year, Hugo’s Marketplace has been the only large traditional grocery store in Jamestown, although Wal-Mart also features a full grocery store.
