N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Southeast Jamestown Regional DUI Task Force will conduct DUI enforcement now through June 23.

In 2011, there were 148 fatalities on North Dakota roads and 45 percent of them were alcohol related. Last year there was more than 6,000 DUI arrests made in North Dakota.

Mark Nelson, Director of the NDDOT’s Safety Division said, “ultimately it’s each person’s responsibility to make the decision to drive sober for the benefit of all road users.”

The Southeast Regional DUI Task Force includes; Barnes, Eddy, Foster, Griggs, LaMoure, McIntosh and Stutsman Counties along with the cities of Carrington, Kulm, LaMoure, Oakes and Valley City.
