City, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Here are the results from the Regional Soap Box Derby races held June 9 in Valley City.

In the Super Stock races; Jara Opatz of Valley City captures first place and will be headed to the International race in Akron, Ohio this year. Eden Crump, Valley City took 2nd place followed by Bethany Crump, Valley City, Josiah Crump, Valley City, Hunter Sayler, Valley City, Samantha Gregoryk, Valley City, Shanna Cameron of Storthoaks, Saskatchewan and Patience King of Valley City.

In the Stock races; Christina Sayler of Valley City took first place and is also headed to the International race in Ohio later this year. Jaustin Opatz, Valley City placed 2nd followed by Samuel Fiebiger, Valley City, Eryn Crump, Valley City, Sage Kvien, Valley City, Jonah Kauffman, Valley City, Zander Johnson, Valley City and Noah Kauffman of Valley City.

Race Director Tim Kadrmas says he’s stepping back as the director after serving for 17 years. He says he’ll still remain active in the annual event.
