Severe Summer Weather Awareness week is April 27th through May 1st this year. Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist says now is the time to get into the mindset of severe summer weather, which includes thunderstorms, hail, straight-line winds, and even tornadoes in North Dakota.
