CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A number of changes with the 911 dispatch center were proposed by Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson during a city finance meeting yesterday.
Thompson proposed moving the law enforcement center window to curb distractions for 911 dispatchers.
He said the Public Safety Answering Point known as (PSAP) needs to be replaced.
Thompson said Barnes County has some legitimate concerns over the notification process.
During the regular city commission meeting the 911 dispatcher contract was discussed and the city recommended holding off another year. At issue is payment ratio and supervision control.
