JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The mission of the Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) Foundation is to secure philanthropic gifts to advance the mission and objectives of the hospital.
For numerous years, they’ve helped spur the growth of the hospital and its services.
Lisa Jackson is the Foundation Director at the JRMC.
One of these focuses as been the ANGELS fund. Created by Dr. Mandy Sorlie and her husband Dave, the fund helps pay medical bills for parents experiencing neonatal grief and early loss at the hospital.
ANGELS, or Advocating Neonatal Grief and Early Loss Support, has helped on average two to three families every year. The fund is available to anyone who experiences infant loss at JRMC at the gestation of 16 weeks or greater up to 4 months of age due to unavoidable circumstances.
Jackson explained how the funds are used for families.
Golf “FORE” ANGELS is entering its 7th year on July 30, raising funds and awareness for the fund. In 2021, more than 70 golfers raised $15,000 for grieving families.
Jackson says the event is full, but those wishing to support the fund can attend the luncheon at 1 PM at the Jamestown Country Club the day of the golf scramble. You can also make a donation by visiting event.gives/angels22 or join the online silent auction.
