JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The next open season for hunters in North Dakota will be this Saturday, Sept. 10 with grouse and partridge.

Doug Leier is a wildlife biologist for the North Dakota Game & Fish Department.

With that, Leier also encourages hunters to keep up with the daily rural fire danger index, issued by the National Weather Service, to alert the public to conditions that may be conducive to accidental starting or spread of fires.

County governments also have the authority to adopt penalties for violations of county restrictions related to burning bans.
