(NewsDakota.com) Two Oakes High School athletic teams will be in action on Friday.

The wrestlers head to Linton to compete in the Linton Tournament featuring more than 20 teams from around the region. Coverage on KDDR 1220 AM/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com starts at 2:45 on Friday, and 8:45 a.m. on Saturday.

The girls basketball team starts their 2012-13 season in the south gym of Oakes High Friday evening against the Central Cass Squirrels. Valley City State graduate Caitlyn Wojahn starts her second year as the head coach of a team that finished in the top four of District 1 last season, but had a quick fizzle out of the post-season. Tip is set for 7:30.
