N.D. — Authorities say an attempted robbery was thwarted by the homeowner at his farmstead residence southeast of Wimbledon about 1 o’clock this morning.

The Barnes County Sheriff’s office says two men walked into the home, pulled a knife on the homeowner and fled the residence a short time later.

The two suspects then drove away in a black Chevy pickup and headed south.

The report says a man was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. No other details were available about the attempted robbery.
