MINOT – A great start to the 2025 Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Soccer season was halted quite suddenly on Tuesday.
Minot, led by two goals and two assists from Jayva McKibben, took the WDA lead and handed Jamestown its first loss with a 4-0 decision at Duane Carlson Stadium.
The Majettes (5-0, 5-0 WDA) broke a goalless draw when McKibben set up Morgan Forthun, who scored in the 49th minute. Minot then scored three times in a span of five minutes shortly after, with McKibben scoring in the 53th and 57th minutes and Aleah Gibbson, assisted by McKibben scoring in the 58th minute.
Anna Lunde made seven saves in goal for the Blue Jays (4-1, 4-1 WDA).
Jamestown will host Williston on Saturday at Rotary Field.
