WIMBLEDON, N.D. (NewDakota.com) – The Wimbledon Rural Fire Protection District was dispatched to the Arrowwood Prairie Fertilizer plant for the report of a semi on fire in the parking lot on Thursday, May 1st just before 10pm. The fire escalated to 3 semis, with another truck in flames.

Upon arrival the plant manager stated there were no chemicals or fertilizer in the truck trailers.

Fire crews used water and foam to quickly bring the fire under control. Three of the four trucks were a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries reported.

Fire crews at the scene included the Wimbledon rural fire protection district, Wimbledon QRU, Dazey Fire department, Courtenay Fire Department and the Valley City Rural fire protection district.
