
JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay Baseball split with EDC leader Davies Saturday in their final non-conference regular season games at Jack Brown Stadium. Davies won the opener 12-5 and Jamestown took game two 5-2.
Game 1: Davies 12, Jamestown 5
Davies (17-2) drilled 17 hits and jumped to a 9-1 lead through three and a half innings.
Gus Werremeyer was 5-for-5 with two RBI. Kane Mathiason also drove in two for the Eagles.
Jamestown (12-7) was limited to three hits. Jaxon Kolpin singled and batted in two runs. Derek Hatlewick allowed nine runs in four innings.
Game 2: Jamestown 5, Davies 2
After Davies (17-3) had a 2-0 lead, Jamestown (13-7) scored all their runs in the fourth inning.
Bennett Goehner brought in the first run with a single before Brenner Weber hit a three-run home run to give Jamestown a 4-2 lead. Hatlewick doubled for the final run.
Cayleb Miller pitched a five-hitter with three strikeouts and two walks.
