VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Soap Box Derby coordinators are looking for youth ages 7-18 to participate, certain rules do apply. Stock Car: driver and car no more than 200 lb. Super Stock Car: driver and car no more than 240 lbs.

Upcoming activities leading up to the event: Spaghetti feed – Tuesday, May 20th at the Eagles – 5 to 7 PM. Proceeds to support the winning drivers and their trip to the International Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio.

Soap Box car clinic will be held  Saturday, May 24th at Handy Home and Hardware on west main in Valley City from 10 AM to 2 PM. Stop by these events to get more information about participating or search for the Sheyenne Valley Soap Box Derby club via Facebook or web site.
