
BISMARCK (NewsDakota)- Carrington’s Ryder Bickett made the most of his last competition as a high school athlete.
The Cardinal senior set a state record and tossed the third longest throw in the country this year in winning his second consecutive state title in the javelin, throwing an astonishing 211 feet, 11 inches on Saturday morning at the MDU Resources Bowl in the capital city. The throw was 30 feet better than his state title-winning throw a year ago and was 29 feet better than second place.
As a team, the Carrington boys finished eleventh while the Carrington girls finished fifteenth. Some individual results are as follows:
Kenadie Pazdernik finished 8th in the 3200M
Kenadie Pazdernik finished 4th in the mile
Maddyx Davis finished 9th in the Pole Vault
Andrew Matt finished 2nd in the discus
Andrew Matt finished 6th in the Shot Put
Boys 4X100 (McKade Zink, Paxton Harrington, Peyton Harrington, and Josh Bickett) finished 7th
