VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public Works crews continue to clear streets and restore electrical power to city residents.

Mayor Dave Carlsrud said trees and branches (about 8 feet long max.) may be stacked parallel with the street on the boulevard for pick up by city crews. He said Valley City residents can also dispose of tree limbs at the 24-hour access collection site just west of the Transfer Station.

Valley City State University President Alan LaFave said several trees are damaged from the storm and there is some structure damage on the campus.

VCPS Superintendent Josh Johnson said students and staff members are reaching out to make sure our parents and community members who need assistance with cleanup get on their list. Johnson said call our school district offices during regular business hours at 845-0483.
