
JAMESTOWN – Again for the Jamestown Eagles, a good effort wasn’t quite enough.
Minot Vistas held off Jamestown Wednesday 6-5 in a Legion non-counter nine-inning game at Jack Brown Stadium.
Helped by two Minot errors, Jamestown (10-23) scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning for a 3-1 lead. Nolan Maulding homered to right to make the Eagles’ lead 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
Minot scored a run in the fifth, another in the seventh and three in the ninth for a 6-4 lead. Zander Wolsky delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth for the Eagles.
Jamestown’s defense struggled again with seven errors.
The Eagles will host Grand Forks in a AA doubleheader Thursday at Jack Brown Stadium. Coverage will begin at 5:15 PM on Jamestown 107.1.
