FAIRMOUNT, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a Fairmount, North Dakota woman who was killed when the bicycle she was riding was hit by a car on Richland County Road 81 near Fairmount. She was 45-year-old Mariah Buck.

Buck was struck Tuesday afternoon August 26th and died at the scene.

The patrol says the car struck the rear of the bike. The driver of the car, 33-year-old Danielle Stein of Hankinson, suffered minor injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies, Fairmount volunteer firefighters, the Hankinson and Breckenridge Ambulance Services responded along with a medical helicopter from Alexandria, Minnesota.

The collision remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
