
VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public Schools is excited to announce the hiring of Meaghan Wharton as the new Director of the VCPS Education Foundation. Meaghan brings a strong background in community engagement
and fundraising, most recently serving in Watertown, South Dakota, where she played a key role in supporting survivors of domestic violence through fundraising efforts and outreach.
Wharton holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama. She now looks forward to using her skills to enhance educational opportunities for Valley City students.
“I am thrilled to join the Education Foundation and collaborate with the Valley City community to support students,” Wharton said. “I’m eager to create opportunities for all students to succeed and engage alumni in the foundation’s work, strengthening our partnerships and making a lasting impact.”
Founded in 2000, the mission of the VCPS Education Foundation is to partner with the community and alumni to meet the physical, social, emotional, instructional, and critical needs of the whole student.
One of its cornerstone programs, Access for All, ensures that every K–12 student and their family can access essential mental health counseling services regardless of ability to pay.
Meaghan and her husband Bryce, are excited to become active members of the Valley City community.
