MOORHEAD, M.N. (MSUM) – Award-winning educator and filmmaker Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson is the inaugural Dean of the highly-anticipated Honors College on the campus of Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Launching in Fall 2026, the Honors College is designed for students who seek intellectual challenge, meaningful engagement, and boundless opportunity. More than an academic program, it is a community of scholars driven by curiosity, ambition, and a commitment to excellence.
