PAGE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Thursday, October 9 at approximately 10:59 AM, a John Deere combine traveling south on 133rd Ave SE about 5 miles northwest of Page, ND collided with a BNSF train traveling westbound. The combine
collided with the front locomotive.
The collision caused approximately 20 train cars to derail and send cargo into a field along the railroad tracks. The driver of the combine a 33-year-old Colgate man died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. The conductor and engineer were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
