
GRAND FORKS – Jamestown Blue Jays Boys Tennis made its first appearance in five years on Thursday in the NDHSAA Dual State Tournament, but lost their two matches and did not place.
In the quarterfinal round at Grand Forks Choice Health & Fitness, Jamestown, fourth seed from the west, lost to top East seed West Fargo Sheyenne 5-0, then lost in the consolation semifinal to Legacy, 3-2.
Luke LeFevre and Braxton Burkett won their singles matches against the Sabers before Legacy rallied to take the last singles match and both doubles matches.
LeFevre and Burkett will begin play Friday in the individual doubles tournament.
