
Two Jamestown officiating mainstays, Lora Fisher and Casey Henderson, were recently announced as new inductees into the North Dakota Officials Association Hall of Fame.
Fisher retired in 2023 after officiating gymnastics for 50 years. She officiated 25 state gymnastics meets, 38 regional meets and over 400 regular season meets in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Fisher, who was a gymnast at Jamestown High School from 1971-74, received the NFIOA Distinguished Service Award and was named the North Dakota Gymnastics Official of the Year in 2011.
She served as a board member for the Jamestown Gymnastics Club and filled in as the club’s director for several year. Fisher also was on the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Foundation Board.
Lora is a retired laboratory technician. She worked for JRMC for 35 years.
Henderson has been a wrestling official since 1988 and retired from football officiating in 2023 after 30 years.
He has been a high school wrestling official for 37 years and a collegiate wrestling official for 15 years. Henderson has officiated 28 NDHSAA state tournaments and 53 region tournament. Collegiately, he has worked at three NAIA national championships and many conference, regional and district tournaments in the NAIA and NCAA.
Henderson was a high school football official for 30 years and officiated college football for 25 years. He was chosen to work in seven Dakota Bowls, the 2018 Mineral Water Bowl and many high school, NAIA and NCAA playoff games.
Casey also supervised officiating workshops and was a rules clinic advisor for the NDHSAA.
Henderson is the market president of Dacotah Bank in Jamestown.
Plaques to commemorate Fisher and Henderson will be in the North Dakota Athletic Hall of Fame, located in the Jamestown Civic Center.
