
JAMESTOWN – Another steady match gave Jamestown Blue Jays Volleyball another WDA win.
Jamestown stopped Minot North Tuesday 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 25-17 at Jerry Meyer Arena.
Lucy Falk scored 22 kills, two blocks, an ace and 16 digs for the Blue Jays (16-10, 10-4 WDA). Claire Marker had 10 kills and two blocks. Mari Anderson, saluted with fellow seniors Jetta Peterson, Haley Attleson and Danika Schutt before the match, registered nine kills and seven blocks.
Elli Laskowski paced Minot North (10-15, 3-10) with 11 kills.
Jamestown took control early in the first set, sprinting to leads of 11-4 and 18-7 before holding off a minor Sentinel rally late in the set.
Minot North played their best in the second set, breaking an 11-11 tie with six points in a row, starting an 11-4 run.
Jamestown trailed 11-8 in the third set before using two kills by Falk and one by Marker in an 11-3 run to take charge of the set.
The Blue Jays then jumped to leads of 6-0 and 10-4 in the fourth set, helped by two Falk kills, two Anderson kills and a block and kill by Marker.
Jamestown will play Thursday night at Bismarck High. Coverage will begin at around 6:45 PM on The Voice of the Blue Jays, Jamestown 107.1.
