
JAMESTOWN – As they tried to stop a losing streak, Jamestown Jimmies ACHA Division 1 Women’s Hockey held a third period lead Sunday. But, it didn’t hold.
Allison Greene scored 2:03 into overtime for a 3-2 victory for Indiana Tech over the 10th-ranked Jimmies Sunday at Wilson Arena.
Jamestown (6-11-1-1) had two one-goal leads. The first came after Gabriella Schroder’s sixth goal of the season, only 21 seconds into the game. Mikaela Nimitz had the assist.
Kaitlyn Brockel evened the game for the Warriors (9-14-1-0) at 9:37 of the second period.
UJ’s Bethany Wielgosh scored her fourth 2:28 into period three, set up by Mackenzie Couling.
Avery Johnson scored with just 2:07 left to tie the game again at 2-2 for Indiana Tech.
Jamestown had a shot advantage of 29-17.
Madelynne Sylvestre made 14 saves in the Jimmie goal.
On Thursday, the Jimmies will meet Midland in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
