
JAMESTOWN – A rally from wrestlers in the upper weight classes gave University of Jamestown Women’s Wrestling a 23-18 dual win over Minot State Sunday at Harold Newman Arena.
Jamestown trailed 17-10 before Leah Willard pinned Madison Parson at 160 pounds. Another pin by the Jimmies’ Emily Novak at 180 over the Beavers’ Lillian Garrett gave UJ a 20-17 lead. Koiline Govergo clinched the dual for Jamestown with a decision victory over Aniya Herbin.
Earlier, Jamestown had a pin by 124-pound wrestler Kiera Hagman and a decision victory by Nora Houglum at 131.
The Jimmies will host Bismarck State College Friday at 2:00 PM at Harold Newman Arena.
