JAMESTOWN – Plenty of scoring and some drama were the highlights Friday for Jamestown Jimmies Basketball.

Anthony Walters buried a winning three-pointer with 5.8 seconds left in overtime as the Jimmie men stopped a four-game losing streak with a dramatic 74-71 win over SMSU.

The Jimmies led by 15 points late in the first half before the Mustangs rallied and tied the game on a step-back three-pointer by Mekhi Shaw with 2.1 seconds left in regulation, his second three within a minute.

Then, the Mustangs went through overtime without a field goal in six attempts, managing just two free throws by Mason Lund with 2:38 left. Jamestown’s only other overtime points came with 2:15 to go on a paint jumper by Cole Glasgow.
