VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The 31st Annual Meeting of the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame was held February 20th & 21st in the Valley City Eagles Club.

Several families across the state of North Dakota made their presentations to the Hall of Fame Trustees to make their best pitches to see if their candidates or rodeo livestock will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on June 13th in Medora.

The weekend was also filled with entertainment, great food and the celebration of our western heritage. Thanks to the Trustees of District 11 & 12 for hosting the event in Valley City.

On Friday, Feb. 20th the crowd enjoyed the music of “The Norsky Brothers” along with lots of dancing.

Then on Saturday, February 21st the crowd laughed out loud with Comedian John DeBoer during the banquet just before the silent and live auction.

The Annual Meeting honored the dedicated work of business manager Becky Scheef who is stepping into the next chapter in her life after working at the Hall of Fame for 10 years.

And long-time Hall of Fame board member Dick Nelson of Valley City was honored for his more than 20 years of service as a trustee and board member. Nelson is stepping down in that position, he will also be greatly missed for his dedication and two decades of support with the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame.

Thanks to all of the sponsors, members, trustees, board members, and dedicated staff members for making the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame Annual Meeting a wonderful experience for everyone who attended.
