
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO – The first loss for Jamestown Jimmies ACHA Division 1 Women’s Hockey in the 2026 national tournament was close and tough to take. The second was just as tough to take, but much more decisive.
Jamestown was eliminated from the ACHA Championship Friday with a 5-0 loss to Michigan-Dearborn at Centene Community Ice Center in the Jimmies’ second game in pool play. Jamestown had lost 5-4 in overtime to Minot State on Wednesday.
Michigan-Dearborn (30-2-1-0) basically decided the game in the first period, scoring three times on goals by Pallavi Hari, Cadence Pero and Grace Taylor.
Andi Evers scored 4:19 into the second period to chase Jimmies’ goalie Madelynne Sylvestre, who made 18 saves on 22 shots. Lilah Drew played the rest the game for Jamestown (9-19-1-0) and stopped all 14 shots she faced.
The other goal for the Wolverines was scored into an empty net by Charlise Wharram with 19 seconds left in the third period.
Michigan-Dearborn outshot Jamestown 38-26. Goalie Kenna Borso earned her 13th shutout of the season and 31st of her career for the Wolverines.
