JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Friends of the James River Valley Library System (Friends) will host their annual membership drive this April in coordination with National Library Week, a nationwide celebration highlighting the essential role libraries play in strengthening communities and enriching lives.
The Friends is an independent, nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the educational and informational needs of the community through advocacy, programming, and financial support of the library system.
Community members are invited to join the Friends for just $10 per year. Membership helps sustain local library programs and events while keeping supporters informed about book sales, special events, and opportunities to engage with the library. Memberships are accepted throughout the year, but this annual drive will run through April 30.
“The Friends play a vital role in supporting programs that benefit all ages in our community,” said Ashley Strukel, Friends president. “Joining the Friends is a simple way to make a meaningful impact on our local library.”
Memberships can be purchased in person at either Jamestown library location:
-
Alfred Dickey Library, 105 3rd St. SE
-
Stutsman County Library, 910 5th St. SE
Or online at friendsofjrvl.org.
